This volume got real QUICK. Everything gets a little more complicated with the introduction of humans into the story. For the reader, the miscommunication (inability to communicate?) between animals/nature and humans is tragic. It's really disappointing knowing that there's only one more translated volume because this series pulls no punches and goes straight for the gut from the very beginning. GNG (Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin) was created 1984, followed by its sequel, GDW (Ginga Densetsu Weed) in 1999. A prequel for both was created in 2000, GDR
