Judge Out Of Books Little Red (Everland Ever After #1)

I loved the concept and loved the characters. There was just too much sexual content for me. Nothing overtly explicit, but it was pretty dang borderline. I didn't think the book needed that. Sure, have some tension, which is to be expected when you have two people who are attracted to each other. I liked Rojita. I thought she was a very interesting character. Started this book, and while there were a few mild curse words and got 13% in when it got to them laying by the fire together to stay warm and him waking to find her sprawled over him (to keep warm) but her one hand in his armpit and one in-between his legs (to keep warm) and then him getting aroused...I didn't feel the need to continue.

Little Red: An Everland Ever After Tale by Caroline LeeWow, I had no idea what to expect from this story when I started, it but it was wonderful! Exciting, enticing, intriguing! It just pulled me in! 3.5 starsI precede my review with the warning that 1) it is definitely an adult retelling (nothing explicit, though), 2) it's rather love-at-first-sight (which does make sense for a fairy tale, but is something I tend to wince at), and 3) the Kindle version ends at 86% because there are two excerpts included at the end (disappointing for me, because it meant the story wrapped up a lot quicker than I expected.)This isn't the first non-magical fairy tale retelling I've read, but it IS the first

After reading other Everland fairy tales and catching glimpses of how Rojita and Hank always seem so in love, I was excited to finally learn where their story began. Both of them are quite different from the other heroes and heroines in the series, but I think that is fitting considering that Little Red Riding Hood isn't a princess.
