Seekers #1: The Quest Begins was an alright book. I would give this book 2.7 stars. In this book the chapters alternate between the journey's of the 3 bear cubs Kallik, Lusa, and Toklo. There is a lot of weird bear terminology in this book. Such as calling humans "Flat-Faces" or "No-Claws", calling trucks "Firebeasts" and I assume "BlackPath" means road. Lusa who had previously lived in a Zoo but escaped to the wild to fulfill the promise to Toklo's Mother that she would find him for her and

I had dropped the Warrior series after the first 6 books because I found them really boring and not interesting, and thought Erin Hunter (which is actually 3-4 different people!) was really poor wannabe author that didn't succeed in capturing my attention, but when I saw Seekers the irresistable cover jumped out and me and just seemed to beg 'READ ME!!!' So, I had listened to that inner voice and picked it up. And boy was I in for a shock!Seekers was for me about ten times better than Warriors -
I love books about animals and this was perfect. Seeker's is a book based on three different stories of three different species of bears, polar bear cub named Kallik, a grizzly bear cub named Tokolo, and a black bear cub named Lusa. They all are trying to get to their version of where the "spirits" are. Since they got separated from their parents. They have to survive and go through obstacles in the way. I really liked that each chapter is a different point of view. Like one chapter is Kallik
Okay, despite the marketing, this is NOT 'Warrior Cats' with bears, so do not let your like/dislike one one be a guide to whether you'd like the other!I liked the Warriors series a lot, so I thought I'd give this a go. I also wrote this review after also reading the 2nd book, so as not to pre-judge by only the opener. Well... they tried.-'Erin Hunter' isn't a real person but a team of writers. An additional 3rd writer writes these who didn't work on Warriors... (the dog series doesn't have any
What would you do if everything you knew was taken away from you? What would you do if you were forced to survive against all odds? Strong willed and curious, she and her brother Taqqiq are travelling with their mother Nissa across the great icy plains of the Arctic. Erin Hunter has done it again, only this time the emotions are REAL. I can't begin to express how emotional this book was and how many times I have cried. This is only book one in the series and I'm dying to see what the rest of the series has in store. I have to say that compared to Erin Hunter's other series Warriors: The Prophecy, book on of the Seekers: The Quest Begins escalates rapidly causing the reader to rapidly read through to the end.
