2.5 stars! I picked this book up because i am a sucker for a good best friends turned lovers troupe. This book was annoying with bits and pieces of adorable stuff tucked in. The Mcs...uuuuuuggghhh. The h was soo insecure it was annoying and so oblivious to things because of said insecurity that made me roll my eyes every once In a while. She kept going on and on about hw she is not pretty at all and her sister is so perfect and eveybody wants her and all....uuuugghh it jst drained me, cant even

It took me a few chapters to get used to the super snarky/sassy and over-the-top style of first person narration and dialogue, but I was quickly drawn to the Cam and Bianca's vulnerabilities hidden beneath overly confident exteriors. They each have a case of what they think is unrequited love for each other, and I couldn't put the book down as I read to see how their feelings would be revealed to each other. Impressed this is the author's first published fiction work. Wouldn't have known by reading this. Especially impressive was the author's ability to write from both a teen girl and teen boy's perspective. Liked that the author kept this YA sensually clean, but still with realistic teen attraction feelings. Could have done with out the infrequent mild profanity. I have always been fond of Friends-to-lovers stories, that's actually what got me hook with Perfectly Oblivious. Bebe and Cam have been best friends for years. Their friendship somehow have grown into something deeper and more serious. Point of view not my favoriteI am a big YA junkie. I'm also pretty easy on reviews. I love everything for the most part as long as the book doesn't delve too dirty. I struggled with this book and I think mostly it was the first person alternating point of views. Also, the main boy character was super conceited and despite his cute ways, he drove me a little nuts. The author has a lot of potential though. She's a great writer and I was impressed that this was edited so well for a first time indie

In the middle of a chaotic summer, this was just the book I needed. The characters are all unique, but all of they weren't your stereotypical self-centered teens. They were are trying to be good people. I really appreciated that the sisters were really different, but the author didn't force those differences. The main character was more of a tomboy, but isn't the never wear make-up and never flirt type. There was some language and innuendo, but I would still recommend this book as a fun teen
