“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go”. In this delightful book, Dr. Seuss celebrates the joys of reading, encouraging young children to take pride in their budding reading abilities.

With his unique combination of hilarious stories, zany pictures and riotous rhymes, Dr. Seuss has been delighting young children and helping them learn to read for over fifty years. Creator of the wonderfully anarchic Cat in the Hat, and ranked among the UK's top ten favourite children's authors, Seuss is firmly established as a global best-seller, with nearly half a billion books sold worldwide.

As the first step in a major rebrand programme, HarperCollins is relaunching 17 of Dr. Seuss's best-selling books, including such perennial favourites as The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and Fox in Socks. In response to consumer demand, the bright new cover designs incorporate much needed guidance on reading levels, with the standard paperbacks divided into three reading strands – Blue Back Books for parents to share with young children, Green Back Books for budding readers to tackle on their own, and Yellow Back Books for older, more fluent readers to enjoy. I Can Read With My Eyes Shut belongs to the Green Back Book range.

Weigh Up Out Of Books I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! (The Cat in the Hat)
I Can Read With My Eyes Shut by Dr. SeussAs a reader, I have made the assumption that everyone loves Dr. Seuss and his rhythmical style stories. This book was no different from his first and last book. Filled with rhymes and goofy illustrations, this book puts a smile on my face. It elaborates on how reading can be enjoyable and it doesn't necessarily mean reading chapter books or old "boring" books. It could be reading anything a reader can find enjoyable or learning something new. I feel that

Dr. Seuss is an amazing author and illustrator who makes reading a fun, colorful journey with the lovable Cat in the Hat with his fellow young cat. In I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!, Seuss takes readers on a whimsical reading adventure with Cat in the Hat encouraging his young cat friend to read with both eyes open so he can read more about everything from anchors, mice, ice, mice on ice, or ice on mice. The illustration was bright, lively that conveys this happy mood which encourages a fun

Interesting book!!! It tells about to keep your eyes open and keep reading to get knowledge...

The book explains all of the possible scenarios of how you can read. For example, with only your left eye open or upside down. Then the book begins to talk about how valuable reading is with your eyes open. For example, what you can learn about when you pick up a book and read. This is written in rhyming couplets. SAD, GLAD and MAD are used in capital letters to rhyme plus they are all feelings. Children have the opportunity to spot the link there.

"The more that you read, the more places you'll know. The more that you know, the more places you'll go."In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, I decided to pick a book by him. Regardless of the passage of time, his books are classic and timeless. I am well over the age this book is recommended for but I love it anyways. The message hits home for me. Reading is such a big part of my life and Dr. Seuss' words describe the joy of reading in a most accurate way. While short, the book has whimsy and fun,

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.

This was one of the Dr. Seuss books I missed during my own childhood. Now that I've got kids, I got it from the library to read out loud. It is basically a nonsense book which celebrates reading.
